Allergy-Friendly Policy
KDC strives to be an allergy-friendly environment. For this reason, we do not allow peanuts, tree nuts, seeds (sunflower, sesame, etc.) or any products that may contain these foods into our facility for the safety of our dance family members with food allergies. We also do not allow pets into the building because we have students and staff members with asthma and/or pet allergies. Please notify KDC if a dancer in your family has an allergy or other health concern, we will do our best to help create a healthy environment for everyone.

Make-Up Class Policies
Weather Closures: Each day of the week is allowed two (2) weather closures per school year. After a day has had two (2) weather closures, we will begin scheduling make-up classes for that day of the week. Make-up classes are typically held on Fridays, weekends, and vacation days. Dance families will be notified of make-up classes by email.
Other Cancellations: KDC reserves the right to cancel classes at any time for any reason. Typically, all non-weather cancellations initiated by KDC will warrant a make-up class. Monthly Payment Policy
Tuition and Costume Billing Policy
Kennebec Dance Centre requires families to keep a valid credit or debit card on file for automatic monthly billing on the first of each month, September-May. Tuition is an annual fee that is broken out into nine equal payments for convenience. Tuition is not billed per class. Some months may have fewer weeks, some may have more due to vacations and holidays but the monthly fee is the same September-May. Tuition is non-refundable after the first of each month. To withdraw, please contact the studio in writing prior to the first of the month to stop billing. For billing inquiries and cancellations please contact us.
Spring costume fees are broken out into two payments and automatically charged to the card on file in October and November. This fee covers costumes for the spring showcase in May. Spring costume fees are non-refundable after December 31 for that school year. We do not order formal costumes for our winter showcase, instead we usually require the families to purchase a specific piece of reusable dancewear (leotard, skirt, etc.) and/or an accessory (hair piece, hat, prop, etc.) for the winter showcase. Public Safety Policy
Kennebec Dance Centre is committed to providing a safe and protected environment for our dancers, families, and our employees. As an organization that specifically caters to minors, any and all registered sex offenders are banned from our property and strictly prohibited from entry to all KDC events and performances.
KDS staff, event staff, and security reserve the right to verify the identity of any attendee and may use publicly available resources (such as state sex offender registries) to confirm compliance with this policy. Any individual found to be in violation of this policy will be removed from the premises immediately, without refund, and may be subject to further legal action.
